THINGS TO DO DURING YOUR STAY
The Howe of Fife and surrounding areas provide a great range of things to do.
For those who crave activity, there are endless opportunities for walkers, runners, cyclists, horse riders, golfers, and many more.
For those who like a more relaxing time, there are historical sites, friendly local arts & crafts, great places to eat and even a bit of peace and quiet.
WALKING AND RUNNING
Southfield is a great base for those who enjoy getting out and about on foot.
There a range of walking and running routes direct from your door, ranging from gentle wanders through flat farmland to 'hands and knees' climbs to the Lomond Hills peaks.
We've selected a few favourites and included them on our Walking & Running page.
SIGHTSEEING & THINGS TO DO
If mountain biking is your cup of tea, then you've come to the right place. Literally on the doorstep of Southfield is the fantastic Pitmedden Forest. Pitmedden is one of the great undiscovered wonders of Scottish Mountain Biking. With everything from wide and winding fire roads, to flowing singletrack descents, through technical climbs to some very challenging downhill and enduro trails, it's a fantastic place for bikers of all abilities.
The key, of course, is local knowledge, so visit our MTB page to find out more.
We have created a guidebook on AirBnB, this gives details of a number of things to do in the local area and further afield in Scotland. This can be found here.
